Warranty policy for customized products or accessories
1. Definition
Customized accessories: These refer to electronic control systems, motors, batteries, and other items that are configured, assembled, or manufactured according to the buyer's specific specifications or choices. These items have significant personalized features or are only applicable to specific bicycle models and are not entirely equivalent to standard stock items .
Customized products include, but are not limited to, electric bicycle accessories or other personalized products that meet the above characteristics, such as personalized stickers, bicycle accessories with the buyer's signature, and personalized bicycles/electric bicycles .
2. Scope of Application
These terms and conditions apply to all custom e-bike accessories and custom merchandise purchased from www.ceayabikes.com . Coverage is limited to the original buyer and the original product. Stolen or gifted items, accessories modified by the buyer, or products purchased from non-CEAYA authorized channels are not covered. By purchasing, you agree to these terms and conditions.
3. Warranty Terms
To provide a satisfactory shopping experience, we offer the following warranty plans for customized products:
3.1 Warranty Period:
3.1.1 The frame product is covered by a 24-month warranty from the date of delivery . The warranty covers manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship, and each component can only be replaced once per bicycle.
3.1.2 The motor, controller, lithium-ion battery, bicycle speedometer, and pedal assist sensor are covered by a 12-month warranty from the original purchase date, covering manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship. Each component can only be replaced once per bicycle. The battery warranty does not cover damage caused by power surges, improper use of a (non-designated) charger, improper maintenance or other misuse, normal wear and tear, or water immersion.
3.1.3 The hydraulic brakes, front fork, rear shock absorber, battery charger, handlebar stem, handlebars, headset, seatpost, bottom bracket, crankset, rear rack, and drivetrain are covered by a 6-month warranty, which covers manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship, and each part is limited to one replacement per bicycle.
3.2 Scope of non-warranty coverage
This warranty is void and does not cover damage caused by any of the following:
3.2.1 Improper assembly or installation
Collision, negligence, improper repair, improper maintenance or other abnormalities, excessive or improper use
3.2.2 Corrosion
Improper modification or installation of non-original or incompatible components, parts, or accessories; or failure to perform maintenance or care at appropriate intervals as per the written instructions provided with the product . If you are unsure whether this is covered under warranty, please contact our customer service.
3.2.3 Wear
Wear and tear refers to damage that occurs naturally and unavoidably during normal riding. For example, even with proper maintenance, your freewheel and chain will eventually wear out and need replacement. Similarly, scratches on the bicycle's paint or pattern, and other potential damage, can occur due to normal use and exposure to various environmental factors. Over time, your bicycle may also develop slight squeaking or other noises during riding, which usually indicates the need for maintenance. Parts that wear out during normal use are not covered under warranty.
These components include, but are not limited to: chain, rims, spokes, brake pads, inner tubes, outer tires, brake discs, grips, hubs, rubber moving parts, derailleurs, brake cables and conduits, stripped threads/bolts, drive gears, saddle, and tools. Maintenance and replacement of these components are the responsibility of the bicycle owner.
3.2.4 Damage or defects to items caused by accidental damage , theft, or natural disasters.
3.2.5 Please note that gears, accessories, and consumable parts are not covered by this warranty policy, but are included in our return policy.
4.Warranty remedies/service measures :
During the warranty period, if the product has manufacturing defects in materials and/or workmanship , you have the right to request that we repair or replace the product free of charge. If repair or replacement is impossible, incurs disproportionate costs for the seller, or we fail to complete it within a reasonable time, you have the right to request an appropriate price reduction and a refund.
5. Claims Process:
All warranty claims must be submitted through CEAYA .
Before filing a warranty claim, we recommend that you contact our customer service team, as your issue may be resolved with a few simple steps. Valid claims within the warranty period will be processed by CEAYA, and you can submit a warranty claim via a support ticket on our support page.
When filing a warranty claim, please provide proof of purchase and a description of the malfunction , including video or images . Once the CEAYA after-sales team confirms that the issue falls within the warranty coverage, we will provide repair, replacement of an equivalent part, or a refund for the affected part.
5.1 Please note that we do not accept the following claims:
5.1.1We will not offer any replacement parts or goods until we receive photos or videos of the damaged product. You must send relevant evidence to the CEAYA customer support team.
5.1.2 CEAYA will provide replacement parts or goods free of charge within the warranty period. Any repair costs not authorized by the after-sales team, including but not limited to installation fees and repair fees, will not be borne by CEAYA.

6. Right to return and withdraw items
6.1 Right to withdraw non-customized goods: You may apply for a return and refund within 14 days of receiving the goods . You will be responsible for the direct costs of returning the goods.
6.2 Exceptions for Customized Products: Since the customized accessories you order (such as electronic control systems, motors, and batteries of specific specifications) are manufactured according to your personalized requirements and are not mass-produced standard products, you are not entitled to the above-mentioned 14-day no-reason return right .
6.3 Returns due to quality issues: If a defect is found in the product during the warranty period, you still have the right to return and refund as stipulated in Article 3 of these Terms and Conditions.
6.4 To facilitate returns, please retain the original packaging and materials for at least 30 days after receiving the goods. If you require CEAYA to provide the original packaging (if available) for the return, we will charge a fee of up to $ 90 .

7. Limitations of Liability and Important Safety Statements
7.1 Compliant Use:
The custom accessories you purchase must be used to assemble a complete vehicle that complies with the EU standard EN15194 (applicable to general electric-assist bicycles EPACs) or relevant regulations (such as the EN17860 series standards for freight bicycles).
Any modification aimed at increasing a vehicle’s continuous rated power by more than 250W or raising the auxiliary speed limit to more than 25 km/h may result in the vehicle being reclassified as a motor vehicle (such as a moped), thereby incurring legal liabilities (such as driver’s license, insurance, and registration requirements) and safety risks.
Cyclists have a responsibility to understand, learn, and prepare themselves to ride safely.
For warranty policy details not mentioned in these terms, such as claims for shipping damage and parts replacement procedures, please refer to the general warranty terms.
7.2 Exemption from Liability:
We are not liable for any damages, liabilities, or compliance issues arising from your or a third party's use of our customized accessories for illegal modifications, unauthorized purposes, or integration with incompatible components. Product malfunctions resulting from such modifications are also not covered under any warranty.
7.3 Note:
Electric bicycles may not be sold to minors under the age of 18. Minors must be accompanied by a parent or adult when riding.
7.4 Stolen bicycles are not covered under warranty.
We recommend that you purchase high-quality locks to protect your bicycle and prevent it from being stolen.
7.5 This statement constitutes CEAYA's complete warranty statement for customized products. No other representations of any kind made by any other person shall constitute any warranty against the product. To the maximum extent permitted by law, CEAYA's liability under this warranty shall not exceed the original purchase price of the product, and in no event shall CEAYA be liable for incidental or consequential damages or losses. This limitation does not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by CEAYA's negligence.
7.5.1 To the extent permitted by applicable law, CEAYA hereby disclaims all implied warranties, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, during this express limited warranty period.
7.5.2 Certain states, provinces, or countries do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages or warranties, and therefore the foregoing limitations or exclusions may not apply. If a court of competent jurisdiction finds that any provision of this warranty is inapplicable, all other provisions shall remain in full force and effect.

We reserve the right to update these after-sales terms at any time. The updated terms will be posted on our website and will only apply to purchases made after the date of posting.
